The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame installation involved a great many, tightly packed guidePORT zones, and Acme spent weeks field-testing the system prior to the load-in of exhibit cases to ensure accurate triggering behavior in the finished installation. Our experience in SoHo gives Acme unequaled understanding of the whys and wherefores of guidePORT system design

guidePORT uses a technology similar to "invisible pet fence" systems to automatically trigger playback of the proper audio content from a Visitor’s receiver based the User's movement throughout the exhibit. This feature frees the visitor to become fully immersed in the program eliminating the requirement to punch in a numerical code at each display.

guidePORT provides location-aware, automated playback of both pre-recorded and live audio content to museum and exhibit visitors. Employing CD-quality audio encoding, guidePORT’s industrial-grade rechargeable receivers and headsets are perfect for Assistive Listening and Audio Description content for the hearing and sight impaired. Using FM radio transmission technology, guidePORT audio feeds can be synchronized with exhibit video content or live presentations

AcmePro is a preferred supplier of Sennheiser’s revolutionary exhibit audio tour system, guidePORT. We were introduced to the system during the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Annex design process.
