AV System Design & Installation

The Discovery Center Times Square is a prime tourist attraction housed in the former New York Times printing facility in the heart of the Broadway theater district in NYC.  Acme has provided AV System design, installation and maintenance services for three recent Exhibitions produced by Running Subway, our old friends from The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame..

Pompeii, The Dead Sea Scrolls and Terra Cotta Warriors are each museum-quality exhibitions that combine story-telling with the display of rare artifacts in a way that simultaneously entertains and educates.

API has provided video projection and display elements, exhibit-wide sound systems and show control programming to optimally synchronize exhibit elements.

The Dead Sea Scrolls in particular, has proved to be an extremely popular attraction, and has been re-mounted with Acme Pro's full assistance in Philadelphia, Cincinnati and Boston [April 2013].  The touring version of the exhibition, which includes a 6-screen immersive sound & video presentation describing the discovery of the Scrolls and narrated by a live 'archeologist tour guide', is set up for remote monitoring and maintenance via a static IP connection.  This allows us to help local exhibit staff with any equipment issues that arise during the course of 4 month installations where the show plays as many as 20 times a day.
